Why classification will keep changing — and why that is a strength, not a weakness: the chapter answers this itself. Aristotle's system worked for his time, but with new tools such as microscopes and technological advances such as staining techniques, scientists discovered microorganisms; those discoveries helped us understand the natural world better, and the classification changed accordingly. Biological classification, and science with it, is an ongoing process of reasoning and change. A system that never changed would mean we had stopped looking.
